Empanizado keto

Empanizado keto

Here’s the recipe for the keto breading (empanizado keto) that I use often, especially for chops or just to give the food crunch.

It’s simple, effective and quick, and the breading can keep for a good week in the fridge in an airtight box if you don’t use it all!

The recipe for keto breading:

Ingredients: recipe for keto cake:

  • Ingredients: 80 g almond powder
  • 1 pressed garlic clove
  • salt, pepper or other spices of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese (optional, but I love it)

Preparation:

  • Put a frying pan over medium heat and heat up, add almond powder, garlic and seasoning
  • Heat over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring regularly
  • Remove from heat, add parmesan cheese and allow to cool.

Tip: To bread a food, use an egg beaten into an omelette to dip the food and then roll it in the breadcrumbs.

Keto Fish and Chips

What is more traditionally British than a five o’clock tea or hot fish and chips from a street vendor or local store? The story goes back to the 17th century, when it was a deconstructed recipe of traditional Jewish fish preparation.
The crispy coating of eggs, flour and cheese creates a certain vacuum inside the fish so it can be cooked as if in a steamer. When you take a bite, you still taste the perfect flavor of soft fish meat.
In the beginning, fish and chips were served wrapped in newspaper. Now, many restaurants make a big deal about presenting them. They are trying to return to the original look and restore the aesthetics by using edible paper with non-toxic printing. Try adding paper lids to tall jars to give an ordinary dish an extravagant look.

Fish

For the fish, you can use any type of white fish, but most people use cod. Make sure it is boneless. We also recommend that you choose wild caught cod.
Cod is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, minerals and protein. It also contains no carbohydrates, which makes it a perfect keto food. A 100-gram serving of cod (without breading) contains 350 calories, 0.25 grams of fat, 0 grams of carbohydrates, and 20.42 grams of protein (1).
If you want to keep it low-carb, be picky about the breading. Low-carb fried fish paste is made with Parmesan cheese, almond flour, and eggs, along with other herbs and spices. You can also use coconut flour.

Zucchini chips

For “chips” we just bake zucchini slices in the oven. You can also try this recipe for zucchini fries!
Other low-carb vegetables that can replace potatoes are parsley root, kohlrabi, rutabaga, eggplant, radish, and jicama.

-To make the sauce, combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl. Mix them until well blended and set the sauce aside.
-Line a baking sheet with parchment paper while the oven is preheated to 400°F. Slice the zucchini into thin sticks, brush with olive oil, and spread evenly on the baking sheet.

-Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper on top. Bake for about half an hour, until the sticks are golden.
While the zucchini is in the oven, crack the egg into a bowl. Beat thoroughly.
-Mix the Parmesan, almond flour and remaining seasonings on another plate.
-Cut the fish into 1-inch cubes. Roll them in the flour mixture before dipping them in the beaten egg. –After dipping them in the egg, dust them again with flour to coat them.
Heat a deep skillet over high heat between 340-360°F. Heat the frying oil before frying the fish for three minutes on each side. Remove from heat when pieces are golden brown, but make sure they are cooked through.
For a dipping sauce, try Mayonesa de aguacate keto
